In May 2022 the school was judged GOOD by Ofsted.
In addition to my career as teacher and Headteacher I have been the governor of two Primary Schools (Cornist Park Primary School, Flint, Flintshire and Whitby Heath Primary School, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.)

As a member of the board, I have responsibility for making discretionary decisions in the bank’s name and I have reporting responsibilities to senior management and the other board members. In my day-to-day role as a Transaction Manage, I look after a team of 5 individuals, allocating work, acting as a sounding board and an escalation point/decision maker. HSBC maintains a rigorous training regime focussing on ethics, compliance, risk and customer service which we undertake on a regular/annual basis. I have recently taken on the voluntary role of Treasurer for the City of Chester Swim Club.
Jason Lowe

I am determined that our schools are given the best possible support so that they continue to provide an inclusive education which provides exceptional academic and personal development for our students.
Andrea Millard
I have a wealth of experience working in many senior positions in Human Resources within the financial services industry, several blue-chip retailers and, currently, in the independent education sector at The King’s School, Chester.
My current role, for the last six years, is Director of HR at The King’s School, which also has charitable status. During this time, I have headed up several ISI inspections ranging from a full EQI, a whole school compliance inspection and two material change inspections with outstanding success. I have fundamentally changed the leadership and school’s focus on safer recruitment (KCSIE and ISS) and compliance, and I work alongside the Headmaster as part of the whole school leadership team. This whole school approach ensures we review and consider pupils from EYFS to sixth form in all decision making. As part of the whole school leadership team, we work together as a cohesive team to work towards our strategic goals and look for current and future opportunities to benefit all pupils.
The leadership team at King’s has been paramount to the success of Chester Schools Together partnership with several local schools, which is thriving at bringing the community together and providing networking opportunities in the area. I am very much aware of the Nolan principles and, working for a charity, these standards are upheld by all Governors and leaders at the school.
I have two daughters; one currently in Year 9 at Tarporley High School and one currently in Year 6 at Tarvin Primary School, who will be transitioning to THS in September.
