Teaching & Learning

Teaching and Learning is the core business of a school. The Trust has a trained Research Lead who works with Teaching and Learning leads to explore how current thinking and evidence-based approaches can be implemented in schools.

This includes:

• Evidence-based Teaching strategies (EEF, Research Schools network, ResearchED)
• Pedagogical support – training, workshops, implementation
• Assessment support
• Effective Feedback Training (based on a successful DfE funded trial)
• Evaluation of Teaching or Quality Assurance
• Support with embedding Teacher CPD for maximum impact
• Disciplinary Literacy support
• Access to MAT Research Trials. An example of this is a DfE funded research trial which looked at how teacher workload could be reduced by exploring different methods of giving students feedback with no expectation for the written marking of work. The outcome of this trial received national recognition and was presented to the DfE, at ResearchEd and The Festival of Education
